12 Rules For Life - An Antidote To Chaos

Jordan B Peterson

This is another must read from renowned Canadian Professor Jordan B Peterson. It is a common sense guide to the principles that he outlines in many of his prodigious Youtube lectures. While there are various criticisms of this book I would urge you to read it and see for yourself what the fuss it about. He writes basic lessons that hit on hard truths.  A work of deep academic thought that has surfaced at a period of time where it is not only relevant but needed.

The 4-Hour Work Week

Tim Ferriss

I included this book in the list because it was β€”and continues to be β€” a groundbreaking book for anyone looking to step outside the 'normal' 9-to-5 world and develop an entrepreneurial side hustle or lifestyle business.  While there is no doubt it takes much more than 4 hours per week to achieve this, the principles and ideas outlined in this book are incredibly useful and helpful which is why this book continues to sell (over 1,350,000 copies to date!)

MasterY

Robert Greene

Robert Greene's latest book Mastery is an exploration of the patterns in the lives and careers of individuals who have achieved a level of skill in their craft that is unique and often revolutionary. From Mozart to Shakespeare and Da Vinci through to Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers and Freddie Roach, Greene dives into the processes and strategies of how these masters achieved their own level of greatness and how you might apply these same principles to your own life.
